Helping others is the reason Dr. Edwards chose a career in education. Dr. Edwards previously served as principal of Fairview Elementary School and an Assistant Elementary Principal at O’Hara Elementary school, both in the Fox Chapel Area School District.
Prior to arriving at Fox Chapel, Dr. Edwards was an elementary teacher at South Fayette, Greensburg Salem and Moniteau school districts. He began his teaching career as a sixth-grade classroom teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. Dr. Edwards holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Duquesne University, a master’s degree in reading education with a reading specialist certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, and a doctorate from California University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Edwards and his wife, Meggan, have four children. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys outdoor activities, including fishing and camping.
