I have worked with researchers in Psychiatry since 1983, primarily in mood disorder research. My research interests are inference for stochastic models (diffusion models for neural activity, point processes arising in scanning microscopy), multivariate analysis, and meta-analysis. Recently, motivated by RDoC, I have worked on cluster analysis using mixtures of skewed distributions for detecting homogeneous sub-populations that can lead to better treatments.
