Rachel Robertson, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Dr. Rachel Robertson is an associate professor of special education, board certified behavior analyst, and certified K-12 special education teacher. Dr. Robertson received a PhD in special education and applied behavior analysis from Vanderbilt University in 2010. Her research focuses on 1) supporting the implementation of positive behavior interventions and supports for autistic students and persistent challenging behavior, and 2) the development and benefits of community-based physical activity programs for autistic children and adults. She teaches courses related to special education, applied behavior analysis, and research design. Dr. Robertson collaborates with Drs. Mazefsky and Conner on a project funded by the Pitt Momentum Funds Teaming Grant to develop and test a yoga program supporting mental, emotional, and physical health in autistic adults. Fun fact: Dr. Robertson was a college soccer player and now (sometimes) coaches her kids' soccer teams.
