Dr. Jessica Schwartzman is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a Member of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and Frist Center for Autism and Innovation at Vanderbilt. Dr. Schwartzman received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in 2020 with an emphasis in Latinx/e Mental Health, and she completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at VUMC. Dr. Schwartzman's research aims to characterize and treat depression and suicide risk in autistic youth and adults using multimethod approaches (e.g., EEG, clinical interview), evidence-based psychotherapy practices, and collaborations with autistic community members. Dr. Schwartzman’s research has been supported by internal and external grants, and her current research is funded by a K23 from the National Institute of Mental Health (K23-MH131852).
