Exploring Positive and Negative Dimensions of ASD

Funded by: NIMH

Principal Investigator: Dr. Jennifer Foss-Feig (Mt Sinai); Co-Investigator: Carla Mazefsky (University of Pittsburgh)

Status: Active, but enrollment is closed

What is the study about?

  • This study will develop and validate a dimensional observer-report measure of ASD. This assessment study is designed to create a measure of autism symptoms for parents of children ages 3-11.
  • This study is important because current measures of core ASD symptoms do not adequately capture heterogeneity and variability. This new measure will improve our measurement of core autism symptoms. We hope that this measure will be used to evaluate new interventions and clinical services for people on the autism spectrum.
